In my experience, boys need less.
May need 1 cap fro training; 3-4 for thunder storms.
Once the dog learns that they are ok in a situation, they start to relax on their own and you don't need it as much.

Passion Flower Extract
Tahitian Kava Kava Root Extract
Black Cohosh Root
Inactive Ingredients:
None
Directions for Use: Administer 1 capsule for each 20 pounds of body weight 1-2 hours before desired effect. Effect may last 6-8 hours. Amount may be doubled as recommended by your veterinarian.
Cautions: Safe use in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven. If animal’s condition worsens or does not improve, stop product administration and consult your veterinarian. Discontinue use for 2 weeks prior to any surgery as Passion Flower Extract may decrease clotting ability.
Warnings: For animal use only. Keep out of the reach of children and animals. In case of accidental overdose, contact a health professional immediately.
Can safely be used on cats too if you are able to successfully pill them!

Hints for pilling
Use a 1 inch cube Regular Cream Cheese, Liverwurst/Braunshweiger (from deli or hot dog/sausage department in store) or soft real butter to surround pill and hand feed to dog.
For larger dogs and more pills, use a larger cube and put 2-3 pills in each Cream Cheese, Liverwurst or Butter cube and hand feed to dog.

Works better than Vet Rx
My Vet prescribed Trazadone when my 160lb Dane started to get more anxious about the fireworks as he grew older. When young, we used to sit in the yard and enjoy the 4th. Now 6 years later he tried to hide and shakes like a leaf at the first boom. I called Natures Farmacy today to ask about the dosage and they actually called me back after a consult. My big guy now mearly flicks an ear when all the crazies in my neighborhood set off bombs. Jim at Natures Farmacy saved this dogs life years ago. Thank you.

Great product
Easy to use, as long as you can pill your dog. My dog was calmer , and didn't act drugged or ''off'' just what I was looking for. and no nasty side affects. Just makes it easier when they are adjusting to scary places or things. Thanks for another great product.

Recommended by a friend, I was doubtful, but Calm Caps took the edge off my dog's anxiety in a situation I knew would have upset him. He acted normal, didn't act drugged or sleepy. No signs of anxiety. Great stuff! Thank you.

have to give too many capsules per weight
I have not tried this produce yet- I have a dog 160# and the idea of having to give a capsule for each 20# of weight I do not like so I won't be using these- it's difficult to get 1-2 pills down a dog that big let alone that many- so I think the info up front should say how many pills you have to give at one time and it also does not say with food or without food- I would like to return the product
